NZKA Annual Festival & AGM

The NZKA will not be flying at Ambury Farm this Easter due to Auckland Parks canceling over weather concerns. NZKA MEMBER ONLY INSTRUCTIONS If you are a member and part of the Messenger Easter Group, you will be up to date with current plans and should continue to monitor the group. The AGM will continue as planned on Sunday at Ambury Farm Barn. Friday evening is takeaways at Anne & Peters accommodation. Saturday is dinner at Szimpla Gastro Bar - advise Anne if you plan on attending. The Ambury Farm Barn has been booked for the NZKA  AGM at 9.30 am on Sunday 31st March 2024. Sunday will be a flash fly at a park(s) in Auckland. Which park will be put up on the Easter Group or ask Secretary to text you. FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and MONDAY We have arranged an alternative venue from 9-30am to 5pm on these 3 days. If you are an NZKA member and not on the Messenger Easter Group, you will need to contact the Secretary or Anne Whitehead for information on the venue.

Matariki Kite Day at Bastion Point

Join us for a whānau fun day and help fill the skies with colourful kites! There will be kai available to purchase or bring along your own picnic. Join in on all the arts and crafts, fun for the whole whānau or watch the awesome kites fill the sky with colour. Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei will be handing out free kites to fly and enjoy throughout the day and at home with your whānau. Public parking will be available along Tāmaki Drive and other surrounding roads. We have a shuttle bus transporting people up and down Hapimana Street (Michael J. Savage Memorial) for those who park along the waterfront area who have young children or older whānau members, and do not wish to walk. We encourage those attending to use this service and park along Tāmaki Drive as parking is limited around our whenua for local residents.
